Re: 2019 Movies
One quick look and it is dissapointing how many sequels are being churned out.

The original films are few and far between. Real shame as more often than not, when it comes to the end of the year, the original films are the ones that end up being my favourite.

Having said all that there still are some great sequels that came out in 2018 (Infinity War, Mission Impossible Fallout).

Got no issue with the sequels being made as long as they are offering something new and not just a rehash of the same old story.

Would just like more orignals being made off the back of the success the franchises make at the box office.

Dora the Explorer - Benecio Del Toro stars.

I know he is good but a weird bit of casting there.

Re: 2019 Movies
it's like they've given up making original films for adults or anyone with a brain, just keep rehashing the same old shit

Hellboy without Ron Perlman and Benicio Del Torro?!

Saw The Favourite the other day
Very amusing script and the three actresses all excellent. Probably more use of the c word than expected

Re: 2019 Movies
saw a clip of norton's chat show where olivia coleman talks about emma stone being nervous doing a sex scene with her, so coleman's solution to the problem was sticking a sponge between her legs :.)

Re: 2019 Movies
Green Book is excellent. Viggo is a class actor, Eastern Promises and one of my favourites, A History of Violence. He acts perfectly and casted well in all the films he is in.
Otherwise what a poor outlook of shitty sequels.

Jumanji 2 (Sequel to the remade Jumanji)

Really?

Hammers1993 5:52 Mon Dec 31
Re: 2019 Movies
Many people only know the original Jumanji, hence the comment about it being a sequel to the REMADE Jumanji.

Re: 2019 Movies
Just saw Bumblebee. Knew nothing about it before seeing it. It's a Transformers movie, the first I have seen.
It was ok. A bit young for me. The girl was good, but otherwise it was clichéd and forgettable.

Re: 2019 Movies
Bit miffed I've been beaten to doing the 2019 list again this year! But glad to see the tradition continuing.

Loads of fucking sequels and live action remakes (why do we need Lion King, Aladdin, and Dumbo? the original animations are all classics), all getting very tiresome now.

Some of the films I'm looking forward to:

.The Favourite
.Burning
.Vice
.The Nightingale
.If Beale Street Could Talk
.Chaos Walking
.Fighting With My Family
.Rocketman
.Us
.Greyhound
.Ford v Ferrari
.Joker
.Gemini Man
.It: Chapter 2
.The Goldfinch

UNSURE ABOUT:
.Toy Story 4 (it was perfect where they left number 3, I'm fearful they'll ruin the series with this one).
.Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (I go into alot of Tarantino films hoping he'll refind his form, but am usually let down).

Star Wars 9 (although I hated 8)

And TV wise:

Final series of Game of Thrones
new True Detective
new full series of Black Mirror
I'll watch the new Strangers Things but series 2 was big step down from 1 IMO.

how many more Terminator films do they want to make FFS?

Looking forward to watching John Wick 3, IT 2 and the hobbs/shaw spin off.

Sat through Mary Poppins tonight. Wasn't my choice...

Felt never ending, but for a young girl who likes that kind of shit, it would be good.
